Arusha National Park is also renowned for its large population or giraffes.

ZANZIBAR

A trip to Zanzibar is a journey back in time. Zanzibar Island lies off the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean. It is renowned for once being the commercial center of East Africa and the last place to abolish the slave trade. This magical island has ancient Islamic ruins, and miles of white sandy palm fringed beaches and coves. Historic Stone Town is said to be the only functioning ancient town in East Africa. The ocean is warm, clear and blue and has excellent reefs for snorkeling and diving. A visit to a spice plantation is also a must.
